Redemption!

I sit here at my computer in awe...in tears...
I'm not sure where to begin...
This has all happened so fast yet it was God's perfect timing...

We are honored...
proud...
humbled...
excited to announce....

the Lord has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy....
a precious little guy who was born on November 17...
an amazing little miracle that many of you prayed for but what you didn't know is that you were praying for OUR SON :)

his little face was plastered all over facebook...
all over blogs...
all over websites...
thousands upon thousands of people viewing his story...sharing his story...

many of you praying for him...
praying for his precious birthfamily...
advocating for him...

a gorgeous baby boy that we had the privilege of meeting yesterday...
the gift of loving on him and his birthfamily...

ohhh, the beauty of his story...
the beauty of how the Lord brought this to be...
the JOY ... the restoration ... the redemption as we still grieve our Zemirah...

Today, we received the most glorious news...
We have been chosen to be this little mans forever family...

INTRODUCING...

SIMEON MASON RICHARDS

We are confident God has called this one to be ours. His fingerprints are all over our Simeon's story (a post for another day ;).  Many of you have read bits and pieces of his story but there is so much more!!  Some parts we will keep private...some parts we will share.  But for now....

We have an URGENT need....
our sweet boy came to us as a surprise...
a surprise to us...
NOT a surprise to God!

We have an URGENT NEED to raise the funds to adopt him...
for him to be able to be placed with us...
The fees are $15,000....
the fees are due NOW!....deep breath...

God called him to us...we are trusting He will provide.  Our greatest need is your prayers for our entire family...for the birthfamily. If you feel led to donate, that would be a huge blessing.

We are honored that Project Hopeful has come alongside our family and has committed to helping us raise the funds. All donations can be made directly through the link HERE or on the DONATE button on the right bar of our blog.  All donations are tax-deductible and all funds go directly to adoption fees. Many hugs my sweet friends!

~~~~~
And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. (Luke 2:25-26)
Wow! Wow! Wow! I can hardly believe it! I saw his face and the urgent request 2 days ago and couldn't get him off my mind...I questioned whether this child was for us, but didn't think so at all and yet he hasn't left my mind...and now to find out he will be yours!!! How cool and awesome is that?!?!
Stacy- Yay! God is so good. He brings beauty from the ashes of our lives. Had you not been paper ready for Zemirah, Simeon would not be yours- but you know that! I'm just recounting the facts for the glory of God to be reviewed over and over and over:) Praying for every aspect of this adoption.
My husband and I have two children (so far) and have adopted them both. Our eldest has Down Syndrome. When friends of mine told me about this little boy we quickly pursued him but realized that we didn't have a current homestudy in place and that would take us "out of the running" (so to say)! We know that God's will is BEST and so we are thankful that he has closed this door for us and look forward to what's next. I'm so happy to see the family he is going to. I know that before the foundations of the universe God created this little guy to be your son and you his parents. Having a child with Down Syndrome will be the joy of your life. I'm just so thrilled for you family and pray God's favor over every aspect of this adoption. Blessings to you and yours. ohmacyn.blogspot.com
Oh, I'm so excited for him and you! I feel in love with his sweet face. Being that we're in Virginia, there was no way he could be ours. I've been praying for him. I'm so truly happy for you. I hope you don't mind, but I blogged about it in hopes of some financial help for you all. God Bless. http://live-with-laughter.blogspot.com/2013/01/lets-get-him-home.html
I am at awe of the heart that Jesus has given you. More precious that any earthly treasure. I was adopted myself and am grateful that God has given you the heart that you have. I also just had a baby boy with Down Syndrome and see how God prepared me for this very precious boy. He gave me a heart to become a Special Education teacher 4 years ago. I am more than prepared. I will be praying for God to provide for you. We would love to help, but being that we have debt to pay, it would be wrong for us to give. I am blessed by you blog and story. Blessings to you!! If you have any questions about your new guy. I'm here.
See if you can get a short-term loan. The adoption tax credit has been extended and that will be $12,650 you can get next year. Also contact the Show Hope folks - http://www.showhope.org/AdoptionAid/Miracles.aspx. There are grants out there!
I am so excited! My son, Simeon (whom we call "Eon") sports an extra chromosome, as well. It means, "One who hears". Who better to hear the voice of God than one less encumbered by the cares of this world.
Praying for divine provision!
I have been watching the dollar amount diminish and I am blown away with what can be done when we mobilize as a community. The Lord brought Simeon to you and He knew 15k was nothing to gather in a couple days. His hands are all over this and are guiding so many to donate and pray for Simeon. This is such a miracle unfolding and I can't wait to finally meet your little man in person!!!! Maybe a play date when things settle???
Lauren said...
Watching God provide and seeing that dollar amount continue to decrease has been so inspiring and faith building... LOOK at what God can do when you step out in faith to do His work and will! :-D Many tears of joy for Simeon and your family, and for his amazingly strong first mommy and daddy. God has big plans for this boy. <3
May God continue to bless :)
thoughts & prayers for Y'all. Pray the continues to bless U greatly. my hubby & i have a huge heart for adoption. Please when it's convenient for U...please share how to get started with the adoption process. We are in awe of all the children that the Lord has given U. Please forgive me for asking, but how have U adopted so many "domestically"?? we've heard from so many domestic adoption is very hard to come by; and extremely expensive too. Sure would appreciate any & all info. that U wish to share. Thank U so much, John & Sharon J.
